Anchorage Deck

Some more Alaska pics! Here is one of the many projects we completed. I have to say that the deck my proudest accomplishments. My Personal Work page has a few more images of the deck, feel free to check it out.

Kim's Dog

My cousin Kim's Dog "Casio" is one of my favorites. She's fuzzy, barely barks, and is very active. Would love to have one like her some day.

We had a lot of fun together at the Cabin!

The Cabin on Nancy Lake

Here it is! The place I stayed the weekend of April 17th. Honestly it was the exact experience I wanted to have while in Alaska. The wood drum in the front is a hot tub. It's heated by a stove and the water used must be pumped from the lake. it takes about 4 hours to get to a decent temperature.
I thought a sepia tone would add character to the picture. Along with uncle Gordon in the Door way. I'll have nothing but great memories from this trip to the cabin. More images soon to follow

On the way to Nancy Lake

Off to the Cabin for a little relaxation. I can't come to Alaska and only work, I gotta experience the landscape.

My uncle has a cabin on Nancy Lake that he's been slowly working on though out the years. It's about 1/2 mile hike across the frozen Lake to get there. There for everything you need for your stay must be dragged by sled.

3 more days!

Only 3 more days and then I'm off to Alaska. I'll do my best to post pics.

30" Stretchers

My artist Friend Lee Vasu needed some stretchers made and asked me if I’d make them for him. He came to the conclusion that it’s more economical to make them yourself if you have the means.

I’m not sure, but I think I spent about 6 hours making them. All in all it was a fun project that a good friend benefits from. Any future stretchers I make for him I hope to use materials that are salvaged. Judging from all the kooky miscellaneous crap that appears in Lee’s basement, I’ll probably have the opportunity really soon.
